We are working hard to ensure we have an energy transition led by consumer choice and values which will deliver a future in which energy is affordable and system security and reliability is sustainable.
Our aim is that consumer design is at the centre of the two-sided market and includes flexibility on the demand side as well as Distributed Energy Resource (DER) integration initiatives which will lead to consumer confidence that the market is working in their interests, now and in the future.
As part of our mapping of this future, we came together with Forethought to explore the lives and needs of consumers, households and small businesses in relation to energy; specifically, how energy fits into their lives now, what the future of energy should look like and what Australians want from the sector. Findings were captured and were brought to our Foresighting Forum in February 2020.
Together with Forethought we presented them to attendees supported by an interactive session to engage them with the research and together, ideate for a better energy future anchored to what households and SMEs wanted. Check out the resources section below for all presentations including the ideation process exercise.
