Energy Consumers Australia

Foresighting Forum 2018 will be held on the 28th February – 1st March at UTS, Haymarket, Sydney.

The Foresighting Forum is the only Australian event that focusses solely on consumer and small-business energy needs and impacts.

We anticipate over 50 Australian and international speakers will attend this event and share with us their insights, research and tested solutions for improving consumers’ energy outcomes.

The central theme of the 2018 Forum is:

Shifting power to consumers in the using, making and trading of energy

Discussions will focus on:

  • the policies, programs and initiatives that improve the capacity of households and small business to take charge of their energy use and manage their energy bills, and
  • what is required to implement these initiatives?

In a change from previous years, we will be charging some participants a registration fee for this event so we can increase the number of people who can attend. In the past, demand far outstripped availability. We had extensive wait lists of those who wanted to attend and many people missed out.

As such, we are asking industry and government participants to pay a registration fee that will cover their costs, and support the participation of consumer advocates from across the NEM.

Tickets will go on sale in November at $600 ex GST for this two-day event.

We invite all parts of the sector – advocates, retailers, networks, academics, innovators, industry, governments, regulators, anyone with an interest in working to help consumers take charge of their energy use and bills – to attend.
